Getting Older
We are faced with the inevitable
Age is something we cannot defeat
It will take hold of our bodies
From our heads, down to our feet.
Our minds may grow a little weaker
Our gait may start to stumble
Our hands may start to shake
Our words we may sometimes fumble.
But life has taught us one thing
Our worth is that of plenty
We are stronger than people think
Trials and tribulations, we've survived many.
We are here now to shine light
On those younger than ourselves
To teach them what it means
To place pride upon a shelf.
To offer up a story when
They cannot find a way
And encourage them to do their best
Everyday, and in every way.
Our stories come with aches and pains
It's a sign of a life that's been lived
I will be greatful for this time...
Getting older is a gift.

I love this, with your permission I'd like to get this printed into a poster. The part about sharing experience to help others particularly resonates with me, it has been a pleasure helping to calm people after Thrombosis in support groups, and equally enjoy the comments on Cups too.

Getting older is indeed a gift. Watching The Thursday Murder Club movie changed my perspective about getting older and realized purpose exists no matter what age we are.

We are not getting older…
We are simply gaining maturity, experience, and knowledge while living life.
Let's stay positive it's good to shine light to others but before that we still should be full of enthusiasm nd optimism to live our life to fullest after all soul never get old
