Loneliness
Hi both my best friends died in that last year. My best friend died in January. I have been managing really well since then as I know they would hate to know I was struggling. Over the last few days I’ve an an overwhelming sense of loneliness that I can’t seem to shake off. I’m diagnosed with BPD. I’m single and have even thought about meeting someone one but it’s not really something I want deep down I would only be doing it because of loneliness. I’m really struggling with how to shake it off. I have hobbies and keep busy but it’s always simmering in the back ground. Any advice ? Thank you
I don’t have any advice. I too am lonely. With loss come loneliness. I consider every day that I get out of bed and do things a win. I look towards days when getting out of bed won’t be the win, bigger things will be. I would say, keep doing your hobbies. Reach out to anyone you can. And allow yourself to feel what you feel. This has been a horrific time for so many of us. The losses have piled on and it’s going to take time.

Thanks for sharing. Sorry you lost friends at this time in a pandemic situation. That sounds really hard. Give yourself some time, having lost some friends you are grieving, it is normal to feel lonely, and sad. I think it is great you are reaching out. Maybe join an online or in person bereavement support group for more support and a sense of community and connection with others.
