Lots of challenges

I’m feeling depressed and anxious. I’ve never felt like this before. We lost our mother 12 years ago. We lost our father 2 years ago. I’m living in our family home with my sister, who is older by 5 years and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder disease.

We are having financial problems.

My sister’s activities make every day ***.

@Zany68

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through such a difficult time. Losing both parents and dealing with financial difficulties on top of that can be incredibly overwhelming. Coping with these challenges while living with a family member who has a mental illness can be especially difficult. It seems like you've been through a lot, and it's understandable that you feel depressed and anxious.

It's important to remember that it's okay not to be well and to ask for help when you need it. You may want to talk to a therapist or counsellor who can help you work through your grief and provide support as you go through this difficult time. It could also be good to communicate with your sister and try to understand her condition and how it affects her behaviour, if it's possible.

It is also essential to take care of yourself, it can be a small act like going for a walk, reading a book, or listening to music.

I'm here if you need to talk, don't hesitate to send me a message anytime ❤️

@Zany68 Have you thought of selling the home and getting a smaller place elsewhere? Perhaps a tiny house or condo? That way you can live more cheaply and have some money in the bank. Do you have to live with your sister?

I have nothing to say that the others haven’t said I just didn’t want to read and not reply. Sending this to let you know that you’ve been seen and you are heard. Hopefully that helps to feel less alone with your hard situation. X
