Over 50 folks caring for an elderly parent in their home,
Would love to talk to over 50's who are taking care of an elderly parent in their home. Let me know how it's going.

I am a bit over 50, but I don't care for my mother at home. (My father passed about 10 years ago.) Thankfully, my mother still has all of her mental faculties and money is not a big issue.
I do speak with her every day, take her grocery shopping each week, and take her to her (relatively few) doctor appointments.
It's quite difficult juggling my own family, I have a wife who takes no role in raising our 9-year-old son or 13-year-old daughter along with work and all the house 'stuff' that has to be done.
I'm interested in your situation. How are you handling all of it? It must be quite challeging!
While I no longer care for my ailing mother, she transitioned, I can say that what might seem like a duty today will be cherished memories in your future. Be thankful and remember that you are their last blessing. Cherish every moment.
