Introduction
Hello all. I am 63 and retired x1yr. Adjusting to retirement has been challenging, especially during covid. Too much anxiety. Too few activities to occupy my time. Hoping for better days ahead.
Hi there, I took to you tube craft videos. They have some seriously great ideas and hobbies for all levels. I myself have took up weaving. It's slow going but worth it in the end. I get a good deal of satisfaction adapting the technic to fit me and my means better. I really hope you can find something new to help getting you excited about retirement. Seriously there is so much good stuff going around to learn and do. They are my sword and shield for fighting boredom and to help me battle my bad feelings. But for you maybe it can save you from boredom.
Well hoping to
I totally relate to your situation. I am 63 and also semi retired just prior to the pandemic. I work one day a week now, but, even that has been a struggle with depression made worse by COVID. I know I need to do something, but, I am So stuck. And I have been obsessively reliving every mistake and regret from my entire life. @cyan, you are not alone.
Hi there, I was forced to leave my job last year due to severe trauma but I'm trying real hard to heal and stay busy. Some days are very rough but I joined a gym, I paint and had an art show. I donated some if my art to a retirement home and I journal alot. I also hang out here on 7 cups looking for support as I have some very heavy stuff I'm dealing with and this forum helps. I don't feel so alone. I try to write about things I'm grateful for every day even just 3 things. I love the outdoors, when weather is good I try to spend time just soaking in nature. Keep looking you will find things to help you. Helping others is something that really helps me. Best ABB 💜
@amiableBlackberry92 You give me hope. That is something I haven’t had much of recently. I hope in time I can help others like you have.
