Double edged sword

I find tremendous peace and joy raising show goats and lambs with my 13 year old son, but at the same time, is also the source of my biggest struggle. I find it tremendously difficult encouraging my son to “put in the work” day in and day out (and it is a ton of hard work for him) and not be successful in terms of winning. He puts in a ton of work and it’s disheartening to see him not be more successful.
