In general, I try to “tune out” or delete ads that do not affect me personally. I agree this can be quite challenging. And, that ads for things I cannot afford can bring some feeling of inferiority, but I try to stay strong and just delete.
Also, if it seems like a scam, it probably is a scam, so I report, and then delete.

Remember: no advertisement is ever posted or run to help you. It is solely for the benefit of the company that pays for it. There are no exceptions to this rule.
