Hi everyone! I'm Lorna, semi-retired, married almost 39 years, two adult children. I have a pretty severe anxiety problem and OCD. My daughter has anxiety and depression and she is living with a man who has bi-polar disorder. Life with her from the time she was a baby has been a roller coaster. My husband is wonderful, but mildly autistic which creates communication challenges. Many days I feel like crawling out of my skin! I also dislike telling my problems to people I know in person!! Anyone get that?

@icanrel8. Yes, I understand that.. I too don't like to do that, the older I get, I think I am becoming more private especially with my adult kids.

I am married to a wonderful man and have two adult sons who suffer from extreme social anxiety (one son) and the other suffers from a variety of mental health issues including ptsd, anger issues and lack of focus. He still lives with us and is angry and hurtful far too often. I never dreamed my life in my 60s would turn out like this Both sons were very well loved and nurtured all their lives, and I sometimes feel bewildered that they suffer do much and also guilty for passing the genes of my own social anxiety onto my sons. I feel such despair sometimes that I will never have my own life.

I completely understand that. It's hard to let people in and be vulnerable! I have only one friend that knows some of how I am feeling with my anxiety . I have been friends with this person since Kindergarten and we are in our 50s now and I still can't bring myself to let her all the way in on what's really going on.
