Hey there - congrats on having a grandson and being a new grandpa~
This might not be the right place to ask this kind of thing since I have no experience in that area. I would probably ask the caregivers of your grandson and ask what they do in that situation or someone who has a baby! I'm sure they would know what to do! Goodluck~

Probably not a good idea to let him sit in his poo. That's how diaper rash starts. Check with his parents/caregivers to make sure what they'd want you to do. If they say change him, do exactly that and continue feeding after everyone has washed up thoroughly.
