April Leader of the Month: YourfriendSigi!
It's my great honor to announce @YourfriendSigi as an April Leader of the Month! Thank you so much for all that you do for our community. Learn more about Sigi and their roles on 7 Cups!
What roles or projects are you involved in on 7 Cups?
Currently, I am a peer-supporter, and room-supporter, while being a Member of the Safety Patrol Team, and a Verifier for the Verified Listener Team. To me, Quality is essential, whether its quality of the profiles on the site, or quality among Listeners.
What has been your biggest accomplishment on 7 Cups?
I think sometimes, our biggest impact is found in the smallest of things. I dont have one big impactful accomplishment, rather I have a lot of small ones, adding up. I like to consider my biggest accomplishment that Ive helped some Members. Whether Ive been there personally, written a guide for other Listeners, or simply referred a Member to someone, who was able to help them.
How would you describe 7 Cups in one word?
Growth.
What is your favorite inspirational quote? (and why)
I have a lot. Depending on why I need to motivate myself, and what they relate to. Here are two I like from Eric Thomas:
‘Stop just waking up like an accident. What do you want?

‘What changed? Nothing. I changed. I stopped being a victim.
And heres one from Team Fearless:
‘Yeah, I changed. Like anyone with ambition would remain the same. I changed anything, but my name.
I choose these for all the same reasons. Because theyre about me - What I can, and should, be doing. I dont believe in coincidence, nor luck. I believe in hard work.
If you could give one tip to a brand new listener or member what would it be?
To the new Listener, embrace patience. Know that regardless of where you currently are, you are appreciated. You dont need to get a certain role, nor do you need to be here a certain amount of time. Youve set apart time to help others, and thats beyond amazing. Now, dont forget to take care of yourself.

Yes, patience is such a crucial part of being a listener and is something that is definitely underrated in my opinion. Thank you for all your hard work and support; keep up the amazing job! :)

So happy to see you become the Leader of the Month! You really deserve it. People have been loving your forum threads and trust me, they all find it really helpful. You're the coolest ATL ever! You never refuse to help and are always so supportive of everything. You've been nothing but very kind and sweet to me (really really supportive too). Thank you for everything you do for this community and I cannot wait to see you achieve so much more! You're truly wonderful

Those are really, really kind words, Young One. I'm very happy to hear that my efforts don't go unnoticed, but I do believe that it's more about willingness to learn and to do. I know you have a lot of that. I cannot argue on the coolest oldie - I am pretty hip with the hop, as you youngster say.

Congratulations, Sigi! Collaborating with you has been amazing. I admire your intelligence, your keenness on helping the community improve by creating high-quality content, your dedication to not only Listener Quality (through Peer Support and writing resources) but also to the well-being of everyone you cross paths with. Your empathy and kindness are without pair and I am truly privileged to work alongside you. This award is more than deserved. It's due. You are one of the best leaders I have seen on this site, in a bit more than two years of my 7 Cups journey. I hope 7 Cups will benefit from your skills and experience for a long time.
And congratulations on becoming a Quality Mentor! I'm almost envious of the lucky Listeners who will get to be your Mentees. I have a lot to learn from you. You're becoming a true, almost essential, asset for the Community. -two thumbs up-
