Motivation and Drive

Its the first day of the ORGANISATION WEEK! For today's activity we have some questions! :)

( Let Us Know your views)

1. What keeps you motivated to add to your home and/or business that will impact your life positively?

2. How do you make this year more motivationally driven than last year?

3. How do you act on it?

I am keen to hear your comments! :D <3 <3

This is such a great idea! Here is what helps me out!

1. I always remember that a new day is full of possibilities and opportunities to change things that I don't necessarily like. There is plenty of enough time in the day to do what I need to get done. "If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude" ~ Maya Angelou

2. I break things into pieces that are easier to manage. (This is one of my resolution's this year: break things down into pieces to get jobs done!) My brain is a scatter brain, meaning that I jump from idea to idea, so big problems and tasks usually scare or stress me out. I break things into pieces to make them easier to handle- whether that means writing the first paragraph of an essay and leaving it alone, then attacking it later in the week, to doing small tasks and writing a "to do" list, that seems to really help me.

3. To stay motivated this year, I am going to rely on the power of quotes. My all time favorite quote is "If you work really hard and are kind, amazing things will happen." by Conan O'Brien. This quote really motivates me so I think if I really keep it in my brain and near me, I will succeed!

Thanks for such an awesome post! <3 KikaPika

1. What keeps you motivated to add to your home and/or business that will impact your life positively?

Acknowledging my achievements to battle my inner criticism and visualizing the progress I'm making. Knowing that my family will be proud of me (which isn't really healthy). Anticipating the moment of blissful relief after hours of stress and anxiety.

2. How do you make this year more motivationally driven than last year?

To be honest, right now I'm absolutely without motivation due to my mental health struggles, and it has already begun last year. For the moment, the best motivator for me is fear and even this can fail me spectacularly, pointing at self-sabotage. But even without it, I expect to lead as productive life as I can manage in the limits of my energy levels, so I'm trying to rely on the routine and some kind of self-discipline.

3. How do you act on it?

Creating a 10 minutes routine which I perform before working - making myself a tea, wearing a specific shirt and organizing the space around me. It may seem weird, but it set the pace for my brain.

Listing all of the tasks on a piece of paper, and then choosing only one of them and writing it on another sheet, so I can focus only on that single thing.

Breaking every task into miniscule chunks, and I mean ridiculously small, like "one minute of work" small. I have a really great difficulty with starting to work, so just doing anything is a victory. I'm trying to work as long as I can, but if I have enough I stop and reward myself for the progress I've made. I also dramatically cross the finished task from my list, so I have a factual proof.

To help me avoid moments of panic and nausea I also make a daily list of things that I've already done, like "waking up", "eating breakfast" or "talking with X". For someone like me those simple activities are pretty challenging, so acknowledging how much I've already accomplished, how much energy I've already spend makes me feel calmer and more in control.
