Feeling a bit hopeless with ADHD
I've been having major issues with focus for a long time now and I never really noticed or thought it was adhd because I wasn't hyper or super energetic as a kid. As I got older and had more trouble doing tasks and focusing on whatever I am doing, I wanted to see if I had a neurological disorder. I had gone to a psychiatrist and this psychiatrist recommended me an anti depressant as an off label medication to help. Overtime I felt this medication wasn't working for me and I wanted to try something else as I was really struggling. I then got prescribed vyvanse at a low dosage and I have been increasing the dosage by week and for some reason I still don't feel a major difference. I still have trouble starting tasks, and if I do happen to start them I lost motivation to complete them very soon. It's starting to affect my personal life in a bit of a negative way and I am feeling lost right now. It is super late at night when I am supposed to be doing work but instead I am typing all this lol. Does anyone have any suggestions on tips to start tasks and to make the medication effective. For some reason I just haven't been able to figure it out.

It can take a couple of weeks for the medication to start working, or sometimes you need a different medication, worth talking to therapist about.
What works for me is breaking things down into small and manageable chunks, to stop pressure, to get things done and the progress builds up confidence.
I appreciate you opening up 💙
