Looking for my diagnosis - Female, 39
Hi everyone,
I've been in 7 cups for around 10 years, when I broke up with my ex. Since then, I started a journey to get to understand the things I do, and why I do them. I've been everywhere from investigating thrill seeking behavior, polyamory, to novel-seeking behavior, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, and severe burn-out. I have recently stumbled upon the ADHD possibility and I am currently undergoing diagnosis sessions with a specialist.
I just wanted to share and give some words of comfort to anyone out there still looking for thrir diagnosis - or their daily dopamine fix. You're not alone.

Can I say, it's so considerate of you to take time, despite all the work you are putting in for your own mental health, to still drop by and consider others, a beautiful quality 💚

Community always helps to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I have spent so much time not understanding myself and blaming me, taking advise that would never work, taking criticism for how my brain was wired. Stumbling upon this realization made me understand myself and everyone around me. I now know I see and feel the world differently and that gives me tools to deal with it. It's nor perfect, but it's a toolkit nontheless. And if anyone needed to read this, and it helps somehow, then i'm glad.
ADHD isn’t laziness or lack of effort — it’s a different way of thinking, feeling, and processing the world.
Some days come with creativity, hyperfocus, and big ideas…
Other days feel overwhelming, scattered, or emotionally heavy — and that’s okay. 💛
You’re not broken. You’re wired differently, and understanding yourself is a powerful form of self-care
