Wellness Doesn't Pay Bills
I don’t have anyone I can really share this with—my friends either seem to have it all figured out, are dealing with disabilities, or would spiral if I brought it up.
Take this with a grain of salt, but lately I’ve been wrestling with the thought: what's the point of use is a healthy, able body if having that alone wouldn't pay the bills.
I could invest in a personal routine, better diet, exercise, time with loved ones. But without a job, living longer almost feels like an extra burden. No matter how well I look after myself, it doesn’t translate into an opportunity or income, and that makes all the self‑care feel… futile.
I sometimes feel that investing in my personal well‑being is a luxury I can’t afford—taking even a single day for self‑care seems like time stolen from my job hunt, as if simply existing is at odds with the grind.
I wonder if any of you have had similar thoughts, especially those of you without a support system and how have you managed them. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your feelings and thoughts @tealHemlock1330 ✨
Taking time to take care of yourself and invest in yourself is the best you can do - It is self love and health and that will pay the bills…
You will feel good with yourself, you will make some exercise -you can walk, don’t need the gym or pilates, you spend time with people that you care about and your mind starts flowing on a brighter direction
If this moment your priority is to find a job, how about sharing that time with a bit of self care? What do you really want to find? Where do you want to work and why? How do you want to feel when you go to work?
One step at a time… yes, there are difficult days that feel like a very big struggle, but taking care of yourself is paramount ✨
Sending lots of good energy 💫
