Work stress
I am stucked in a overloaded work at my job, and I had to do overtime. It's been month and I think it would be like this for months. The problem is that there is no much appreciation that should be, or no much acknowledgment. Instead being blamed for anyone's mistakes and errors.
It made me sick physically, but doctors say that it is the mental health issue. I don't know whether it is anxiety depression or what. I would like to exactly know.
It was a feb 2025 that the same job and same culture was the best according to me. The whole team is the same. Are my thoughts just because of the work has been increased? Or am I overthinking? Or am I right with my thoughts?
Yesterday, I was not well, and my whole day was in the thought of that work culture and my work hard and alot more.. I cannot stop thinking about that, I want to control my brain. Like people easily say that why do u think ao much? Or don't think about that or don't think too much. Seems like they can control there thoughts and what to think and what not... but when a thought just came in my mind, I am just stucked in a loop and it's affecting me and my life, my heart beats shoot too much it's racing.. it makes me like can't explain.
How can i overcome overthinking and how can i over come that loop of thoughts been irritating me? How can I stay away of anxiety/stress/ depression or whatever attack is it?
My psychiatrist once told me
"your brain is too sharp and amazing, but the problem is that you are always using it against your self."
How can I know if it is right? And how can I stop using it against my self?
I am sorry that I made you people read this much stuff. Just a try that it might help me.
@DontKnowBRO Hello Bro, it sounds like you're in a difficult situation with work right now. The first thing that came to mind on reading your post was occupational stress and specifically burnout, owing to the increased demands that have been placed on you lately. When we're in a work culture with little to no positive feedback, only ever receiving blame, along with ever-increasing workloads, it fosters a culture of burning out. You've asked about challenging thought patterns, so I've linked to the self help guide on work stress, which looks at cognitive restructuring in addition to mindfulness and relaxation techniques. However, have you spoken to anyone at work about how to tackle the excessive demands, and asked about support available to help meet those demands and any associated deadlines? Working on your own responses is one thing, but taking a more all-round approach might be more applicable here.

Hi DontknowBRO
I am in the exact same situation right now. What once was a dream job, well paid job, now seems like something that mentally and physically hurts me. My therapist also suggested to quit the job saying my brain right now thinks that even a dream job can hurt you.
But I am not able to. 😞
