Relief on the canvas.
I want to create some relief (difference between 2 and 5 cm) on a black canvas. I have to admit that I'm a noob in this field.
So whet is the best way to do it and what type of filling do I need?

Hey there ☺️.,, I think you are referring to bas relief (pronounced bahh); (low 2cm) and (high 5 cm). You would have a much better finished project if you created this in a wooden mold. It's usually custom made for whatever you're end product needs to be; a base/back/bottom, and 4 sides that are 3cms or 6 cms... and your media is any type of natural clay. The moisture content should be slightly lower than standard (how it comes) because you will be using fine hand tools to pull pinches of the clay off your piece instead of adding it as you do in sculpture.
