I've been wanting to explore new art forms, try different techniques and experiment with new painting styles. And some of the best advice I've ever gotten has come from other artists ^-^
Even a small suggestion or a new way of looking at something can totally change the way we create art. So I thought it'd be nice to have a space for sharing those little gems 💎 whether you're just starting something new or have made real progress in your art journey.

Anyway I've finished my butterfly and I decided to make a pink and purple one instead💜💕💜💕
And it turned out pretty good even though I messed up a bit😭.

Watercolor needs patience, you gotta let each layer dry so the colours don't get muddy. It's more transparent and the layers look very beautiful. You'll also need specific papers for that cause the normal ones would tear with all the water. I don't use it much but I do use it for storybook style art. Looks perfect 💜
Acrylic dries fast which is great but also not so great for larger paintings haha ^^ I cover my palette to keep the colours from drying out. It's more opaque and can be used on all kind of surfaces like canvas, wood of fabric and it dries shiny. I think it's very beginner friendly. Also if you thin it out with water, you can get the watercolor like look. I prefer it lol 😸

You don't have to go for a watercolor effect, you can use acrylics for a solid bold painting too. But if you do thin it out with water, it'll have similar effect but just won't reactivate once it's dry.
And the paper for watercolor I think is called watercolor paper xD it's a bit thicker and often made of cotton.

@BlueDarkAurora Hiii🌸!! So yesterday I tried making a sketch of how I wanted my cat to look, and it took some attempts to get it how I wanted it to look but in the end I was quite happy with my sketch!!
Maybe next week I'll start on the painting of an adorable gray cat!🐾🥺

I am an artist, you were talking about tips and tricks and I thought of one with regards to acrylic paint.
Sometimes it's challenging to get the desired look of that oil based paints can give you easily. So my advice to anyone working with acrylics is to be patient and layer the colors to achieve the look you're going for.

@RoxyFantastic Hii, thank you for sharing! 💖 Layering in acrylics is really great way to make colours pop. A white base helps too ^-^ Such a great tip.
Try doing a value drawing... But instead of black and white, use purple. The entire range, from a very soft purple to a very deep dark hue. <3

Has anyone tried these AI that generates a profile pic for your dating app ?
They claim to generate natural-looking photos while still keeping your real face.
I don’t really like going out much, so if it’s actually at the quality shown on their website, I feel like it’s worth trying it.
Curious if this is actually real or just hype.
※I tried with GPT and Gemini, but the quality wasn’t as good as theirs. Maybe they’re using some specific tech?
@BlueDarkAurora I've been experimenting by creating stamps out of erasers. I carve them with an x-acto knife, and it has been fun!

The best form of inspiration is looking at others art, when you feel what they felt, see what they see, and experience their heart you can't help but want to compose your own. Try looking at art sites online. :}
