Im new to drawing I spent maybe 2 weeks of just doodling small things, then I tried watching some beginner videos and im not sure exactly what to do. Do I try learning fundamentals? Do I just doodle? Or try doing references and light copies of other admirable artist. Or do I do all three as much as I can? I tried doing 2 point prospective yesterday just one page and i was struggling. I draw using just paper and pencil. I think I would like to do digital but it just seems so complicated and way more difficult.

@guff05

Starting with beginner videos and building up to more complicated things sounds like a good starting point 💙🤗

From my experience, it really depends on what you want to make. Do you have a specific style or subject in mind? (Landscapes, animals, people, abstract…)

I really enjoy carrying a small sketchbook around with me. Then, you can doodle, sketch ideas for later, or practice drawing from observation. That’s a really helpful skill, if you’d like to draw things the way they look irl

You’ll do great (: there’s gonna be that “trust the process” stage in everything, just gotta get through it

Have a great day!

Well im just trying to learn how to draw anything I suppose. I dont really have any skill in art at all. Currently right now im practicing boxes. But when I later get skilled I want to learn how to do people.
