What is your favorite arts and crafts? Are you working on a current project?

I will start.

I am a wand maker and essential oil maker. For the wands, I use maple, oak or ash branches. I then cut them to size (roughly the length from elbow to index finger). Then I will either paint the branch or wrap them in a fabric. Using floral wiring(usually gold, red or black), I will string beads on the wiring as I wrap the wire around the painted or fabriced branch. At the tip of the wand, I will glue a crystal or stone.

For the oils, I grow or purchase the herbs to make the oils. Using medium sized mason jars, I fill the jars with the herb(s) and then fill the jars halfway with a carrier oil (almond oil works best). The rest of the jar is then filled with water. I then lightly swirl, or light shake, the herbs, carrier oil and water until it is all mixed together. I let the oils sit for a month before transferring the oils to dropper bottles.

I also make my own satchels filled with herbs as well. I make other things, but I think the post would be entirely way too long. Lol.
