Mental Barriers

Most of my life, I've been a workaholic. Lately, though, I can't seem to do anything at all. No matter how simple the task is, it feels like my brain is telling me "no, you can't do that."

I have a lot of chronic pain issues, so I work as a freelancer from home. This means that I can take projects and clients whenever I want, basically. I have a few right now who are being really patient and kind, but I *NEED* to get back on with it. But every time I try to work, I am somehow incapable of it.

I have been the kind of person who neglects friendships and things because I'm usually hustling to get work done so I can make a living. But now? I haven't been able to do anything in almost a month.

I'm trying to apply for some jobs where I can sit, but I really need to focus on the things that are right in front of me. I'm stagnating and can't seem to get back up on my feet.

I need fulfilling work, but I also need to work on the things I already need to do. I'm at a total loss. This is the worst depressive episode I've ever had, and it's just killing me.

How do you fight your own brain?
