Breakups
How can I better move on after a breakup? It’s been a month ish and yet every day I’m still reminiscing about things. It wasn’t a healthy relationship but despite that I’m still reminiscing about things. I miss the few good times and feel so alone. Part of me is still holding my on despite me knowing she treated me poorly. I don’t get why I’m still feeling this way towards someone who did such bad things to me. I’m at the point where I don’t wanna be back with her but I still feel so disrespected and can’t get the whole situation out of my mind. How can I deal with this, before it hurts me even more? I go each day feeling so upset and maybe depressed but I don’t know if that’s really what I am. I’m just so tired of everything and upset with the whole situation.
I had the same thing happen. This is what helped me move on:
I wrote one very long letter to her about everything that she did to disrespect and hurt me, Absolutely everything and it was a very long letter. Then I never sent the letter, But somehow writing all of it helped.
Then I took one more piece of paper, At the top of the paper I wrote “This is what it was really like” , Then I just Took the seven pages of extreme hurt and respect that she brought me And I condensed it down to A short one page list.
-The long letter was cathartic, And I’ve never looked at it again
-But the Condensed one page, I read that every day for a couple of months in the morning. The good news is that you are probably a positive person And you keep thinking of some of the positive parts of the relationship And wishing That those would come back. But that also makes you and me a sucker And walk right into disrespect, abuse, and worse.
-I had To remind myself with that one page letter every day for a couple of months. I also wrote on a piece of paper the names of friends and family members who had not disrespected and betrayed me. I got in the habit of thinking about them every day instead of her. Then I started Remembering again That I really am a good guy, Likable and respectworthy, And that cleared the way so that I could start meeting women again, and now I have standards and say no to the bad ones. It took about seven months, but I met a good one.
-if you want to know how good of a woman you deserve, You deserve one who treat you as good as you are treat a woman. One of those will come along Every so often and you will miss meeting her if you’re Stuck in a rut thinking about The old one who just brought you down.
I get how your feeling honestly. My ex and I ended things just a few weeks ago and it’s been hard on me. We were together for 4 years. And the past few months were extremely hard because I felt like he was treating me poorly. I’ve been trying to hide behind a fake smile and act like I’m okay when it still hurts and that’s okay. I get how your feeling about wanting to know why she did these things to you because I feel the same way. My ex told me he wanted to get back together but I told him I needed time and hen I was ready I would call him and ask him the questions that were going through my mind. Have you thought about texting her or calling her to get that clarity and maybe express how you felt about everything?
