Buried in an Abyss of Depression...
I wrote this a few hours ago... I had told some coworkers, on multiple times with multiple people, something that was important to me. They just... looked at me. Didn't say anything...
I am so deeply depressed today… I’ve barely spoken a word at all. I'm nearly catatonic… I can’t smile. I’ve cried twice in 24 hours and I just feel so broken and invisible and unwanted…

What I told them was something pretty small and inconsequential. It did, however, make today absolutely awful for me. :(
@jesusredeemedme2425 I think in life we meet two kinds of people. The ones who are so selfishly self centred that they cannot bear even the slightest of weight from someone else, cannot dare to let someone else have a moment and on the other hand we have people who are not only strong for themselves but sometimes even more for others around them. You count in the strong ones. I'm sure you'll be ready to be there, support, celebrate or offer a shoulder to cry if someone near you needed it. Something important to someone strong like that matters a lot, more than those self centred people can ever amount to.
The others reaction or lack thereof don't matter, don't let them dim down something that matters to you. Whatever it is, it matter cause you matter<3
I am so sorry to hear that. Sometimes the world and people can be so cold and uncaring but that gives us the opportunity to better mold ourselves without unnecessary social interactions. Sometimes also people don’t know what to say in serious situations, thus be compassionate to yourself and forgive them. Remember to always forgive.
I share in your sadness for I too feel the same nearly every day. Battling depression is hard and living with it is harder. But as long as we keep our heads cool, we’ll always have a leg up on others because we’ve been through the *** of the mind. We know what it’s like. So we extend that knowledge to others who do care.
Remember: those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind, don’t matter.
Good Luck my fellow life climber!

I’m deeply sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It’s truly painful when you reach out with something important and feel that your feelings are met with silence. Feeling unseen and unheard can be profoundly isolating and distressing.
It sounds like you’ve been carrying a heavy emotional load, and not receiving the response you hoped for from your coworkers has only added to that burden. It’s understandable that this has left you feeling broken and unwanted. Your emotions are incredibly valid, and it’s important to recognize that this experience has significantly impacted you.
When you share something that matters deeply to you and receive no response, it can feel like a rejection of your very self. The silence can seem deafening and can reinforce feelings of invisibility. It’s crucial to remember that this lack of response is more a reflection of others’ limitations or preoccupations rather than a measure of your worth or the importance of your feelings.
During times like this, being gentle with yourself is essential. It’s okay to feel hurt and to allow yourself the space to process these feelings. You don’t have to force yourself to smile or pretend everything is okay. Your feelings of sadness and frustration are real and deserve compassion.
Finding small, nurturing ways to care for yourself might help, even if just a little. This could be something like taking a quiet walk, engaging in a favorite hobby, or simply allowing yourself to rest. It’s also important to lean on any supportive relationships you have, whether they’re friends, family, or even online communities where you can express your feelings openly.
You deserve to be heard and understood. Remember, it’s okay to take time for yourself and to seek comfort in whatever ways feel right for you. Your feelings matter, and it’s important to honor them as you navigate through this challenging time.
