Dark thoughts
Im new to this whole depressive thing, im not one to share how I feel or admit how I feel to myself but yet hold up everyone else . I'm dealing with college, stress from home, boy issues, dance, work stress. These past few months I been trying so hard to just be happy and make my family proud but it feels like the more I try I disappoint them. All I hear is ur not ready, be more responsible, ur lazy, we need more, all these critism and rules and i just get so overwhelmed i just cry and go to my room; I have all these thoughts abt not being enough, being a failure, how im not needed and how much i want everything to be be silent and idk how to handle them all. I am not one to quit but i feel myself spirling everytime i let all the anger and hurt in and I know I cant make everyone happy but its getting harder each time to silence all these dark thoughts especially when im down

You are going through alot 🩷
And it's unfair of anyone to say you are not ready, or lazy.
You need a supportive space!
You are not a failure at all.
You are human, no one is perfect, you are trying your best to navigate your way through many difficult situations.
One day at a time.
Find space in your day to process these big emotions and not let other voices overwhelm you!

Thank you! I really appreciate it i know its definitely going to take baby steps, thats why I try to stay busy so I wont have to face how I feel but its getting harder to do that and I definitely hear ur words but I dont feel that but I know imma have to work on that thank you again

Hey! It’s sounds like a lot.
Let’s slow down a little.
What is important for you? What do you want?
I have the feeling you got so busy with taking care of wishes of others that you lost those questions. If they sound selfish, they are not for people who care this much. I think of it as: You first need to be alive before you can continue to contribute to society at your best. And it’s not your duty to fulfill all wishes of others. It’s ok to let people deal with their disappointment sometimes. Especially, if they feel so entitled that they don’t mind hurting you over it.
Ur right...I really want is to just find my way and be more independent but my family is strict and think im not ready and some decisions they disagree with then tell me I have the right to make my own decisions even after I feel like crap abt it cuz they dont agree and some of the stuff they tell me brings me down
It sounds difficult. You mentioned college and work. It sounds like you have a job. Do you like it?
Yea I do but I need to find another job for more money for college and better work sources *** closer to home cuz my family thinks its better its just been a bit hard
@adaptableTree2774 You mentioned what your family point of view is. Would you share what are your thoughts? Also is it ok to ask which part is most difficult?
I would say obtaining there expectations are the most difficult part now of days...im 19 and they treat me like im 7 but then tell me to grow up and when I make grown up decisions they disagree. Since high school ended all I been hearing is there rules and critism and how I can get out if I cant listen
@adaptableTree2774 This sounds frustrating. Criticism can be draining.
What are your thoughts about your job? Just your thoughts, not your family’s.
