Depression and period

Has anyone taken any medication specifically only while on or before their period to help with hormone imbalance and depression. I don’t know what else to do. I know it hits me once a month like a brick wall. I take depression medication all the time but wondering if there is something for that extra week and a bit I can take for when I’m super low…..
