Depression can feel like a heavy, gray blanket that's been draped over your world. It muffles the sounds, dulls the colors, and makes everything feel a little heavier. It's not just a passing sadness; it's a deep, persistent ache that can linger for days, weeks, or even months.

Imagine a garden you once loved tending. Depression is like a long drought that makes it hard to water the plants. You know they need care, but the bucket feels too heavy to lift. The sunlight, which once made the flowers vibrant, now seems a bit too bright, a bit too distant.

It can feel like you're watching your own life from behind a foggy pane of glass. You see joy and connection happening all around you, but you can't quite feel it for yourself. It’s a profound loneliness, even when you're surrounded by people who love you.

But remember, even in the deepest drought, a garden can be tended. It might take help from others to bring water, to pull the weeds, or to just sit with you in the quiet. And with time, care, and patience, the rain will eventually come, and the colors will begin to return.

Looking in at yourself struggling but not knowing why.

Being in a fog where everyone else is passing you by.

Being left behind.

Feeling weak for not doing better.

Wanting to get up but not wanting to take the covers from off your head.

Drifting.

Falling.

Being alone.

Wading through the water.

Seeing the way out, to feel happier but struggling to get there 💕💜
