#trigger abuse, divorce.

Been married for 5 years and now it's over. Even though I'm free now the emotional and mental abuse I suffered over that period has left me in such a weird place. I feel guilt for being happy. I have moments where I'll space out and wonder if I've done the right thing but then I start remembering the bad stuff.

The worst part is that it's so different to physical abuse because there aren't any scars that a person can see so it's difficult to explain.

I just feel so alone and so desperate to forget it all.

Just need friends again. Something to feel passionate about again that can just make me feel better about all of it.

@Sapphorion

Please don't feel guilty.

This is your time.

Your second chance.

To heal.

To be happy.

You didn't deserve to be mistreated.

Now you know what you deserve and need.

I hope you are happy moving forward 💖

Your story really hurt to read, and I’m so sorry you’re carrying all of this. I went through a painful divorce with my wife too, and even now the hardest part is the kids — loving them deeply, but struggling with communication, patience, and the constant fear of failing them emotionally. There’s a unique loneliness in realizing the life you believed in is gone. Some days I’m just trying to stay functional, finding small anchors to keep myself steady — routines, breathing, or even quietly browsing places like https://progearph.org while looking for ways to take better care of my body and mind. You’re showing real strength by choosing your daughter. That matters more than you know.
