@CallumKing2000

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling exhausted and discouraged. It can be really tough when we reach a point where we feel like giving up.

When you're feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, take a step back and assess the situation. It's natural to experience times of exhaustion and frustration, especially when faced with great challenges or obstacles.

Here are a few suggestions that might help:

  1. Self-care: Prioritize self-care activities that help you relax and recharge. This could include getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals, engaging in physical exercise, and engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
  2. Seek support: Reach out to your friends, family, or support network like here in 7 Cups. Share your feelings and concerns with someone you trust. Sometimes, simply talking about your struggles can provide a fresh perspective and emotional support. I strongly reccomend you participating in the Sharing Circles, besides posting here about your feelings, and sharing them with a Listener in a 1 on 1 chat.
  3. Break it down: If you're feeling overwhelmed by a particular situation, try breaking it down into smaller, manageable parts. This can help you approach the challenge in a less daunting way.
  4. Explore coping strategies: Find healthy coping mechanisms that work for you. This might involve practicing mindfulness, journaling, engaging in hobbies, or seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor.
  5. Adjust expectations: Set realistic expectations for yourself. Avoid being too hard on yourself and recognize that everyone faces setbacks and moments of exhaustion. Adjusting your expectations and focusing on progress rather than perfection can make a significant difference.

I hope some of this helps at least a bit.

7 Cups is a big community with many supportive people, resources and places to help you feel better.

We are a big community and you are a very valuable part of it.

We are here to support you.

You are never, ever alone.

Hey, King, it's Pat. I've been there. It's difficult even to say what's wrong. Sometimes, it's ok just to let it all go and just sleep, or stare at the trees. Or just think about making the bed. Or just talk about nothing. Or just not want to talk with anyone at all. I could give you a list of coping mechanisms, but really sometimes, we just have to let the awfulness of everything just wash over us. And just rest for a bit. Just take one day at a time. Let me know how you are doing and if even one little thing is better. It helps me to give our adopted dog a tummy rub. She usually smiles. When she smiles she shows her fang a little bit out the side, like she's a ferocious dog, but I know better. Take care, King.

Life is something I have never understood, I never knew I would turn out the way I would either. 2023 has not been good and it won't be till the last day of this year. I don't know the meaning of life or why it has to be this way for many of us, im not a supernatural person to know all the answers to my problem we all try in a way we can to get by but in the end life is over for how much people achieve to not being able to win after its all over, so am I really on earth to see it all go to waste the things I've made the memories I've given, we come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing so in the long run nothing is what ends it all to be thrown away and for myself to say "all that for nothing" so what's the point bcuz I don't know anymore

I'm at my limit, I've been crying all day I'm at my lowest I've ever been and its draining me, I don't really know what to do, this has been happening all year long so far, I'm not sure what it is, it could be a very serious mental illness or worse, I hate depression why can't it leave me alone for the rest of the year, I don't have anyone to talk about it bcuz I've nobody to talk to I'm homeless and tired of it all, I'm so much stressed and hate it, let's see how I am when I wake up. 😮‍💨

Sending strength. Some days are really tough on the depression roller coaster. There are lots of people here who care about how you are feeling so feel free to unburden yourself any time.

I know that it feels some days like we live, we die and that is it. But we also leave the world better in some ways. Would you want to live back in the Middle Ages? Things have improved even if the progress is slow. Yes, there is tons that is wrong right now. But there are also some things that are okay. Keep looking for them. @CallumKing2000

Hey King, it's me, Patience, and I read your message last night and composed a reply but I was too tired to type, so here I am in the morning and I hope you get my message. So, you would probably be surprised at how many people are keeping you company at the moment and also crying at the state of the world and also of yourselves. The world is especially concerning with all the things going on and yes, there is plenty to be despairing about, evil, politicians, the creeping heat, the pollution and the lack of care and all the people just striving for themselves. And also in our personal lives, there is plenty to be despairing about, loss of opportunity, loss of people we love, people getting older and seeing that happen, being homeless, all these things are very desperately hard and difficult and can lead to you feeling isolated, alone and that you cannot reach out.

Yet, in a Supreme Act of Courage, you did just that! You reached out. You typed out your words, even though it was difficult to do, and it may have been through tears. You reached out to Hopefully another Human Being. Because there is Hope. There is still Hope. There is the morning, and maybe after rest, things may be even incrementally better, or your view of things is restored just a tiny bit, or you are able to do one act to help yourself get out of this miserable place. Which you already did, by reaching out, but I mean something like washing your face, try smiling at one person, access one resource that will help you to move out of homelessness.

(Just for context, I was homeless! Yes! And, also I had these feelings of constant despair. Yes! I was there and so that's one reason I care about You.)

"No act of love is ever wasted." I read this book. It has a tiny bit of religion woven in, but in general there is a spiritual way of looking at what we do that can lend some meaning to our lives. I'm never one to push any sort of religion, never, but I will mention that I love that quote because it means our actions don't just disappear, they instead have incredible power. This incredible power, when you first realize it, is very scary, because you are the afraid to do something good, because you can see very quickly that it leads to something else that is good, and then the good is multiplied. But it is something you can learn to control within yourself, and finally you will be happy. I truly believe that about you, King, that you will learn how to be happy. I know this because your message reached me, and I hope my message reaches you, and gradually and bit by bit you will figure out how you tick and what it is that makes your own life uniquely worthwhile. I know, just from your Essence, that you are Worthwhile. I know this with my Heart and Soul. I urge you to absorb this message and not to fight it off.

You are Worthy. You are Kind. You are Enough. You are going to do this difficult thing, which is to Live! I believe in you. Obviously, others believe in you. I will also send you an old and Wise Tree, just to encourage you along on your path of Growth. Much Love, Patience
