Feeling uncomfortable in this world
i'm really sick of being an adult and being a guy. I feel emotionally unsafe because of that. I wish young and feminine looking. And living in a more peaceful place where I'm comforted and supported, and fully healed.
@Deepsaber25 Hi, please know that you are not going unheard. I'm hearing that being an adult and a guy has you feeling down and unsafe, making you wish that you were younger and more feminine. There is no defeating the force of time, but many older people still look young. Plus, there are ways to look more feminine. Could there be any ways that you could do this?
As for the last part of your post, I think what I understand is that you feel unsafe. I am wondering what makes you feel unsafe? What would comfort, support, and healing look like for you?
☺️
What makes me unsafe is society. And the fact that my parents can't do anything about my mental health. I want to be seen as me. Not my age or gender. I've even dealt with toxic masculinity as a kid.
@Deepsaber25 Me too, I wish to be seen as me as a whole. Not things like my age, gender, or how I look. Sorry that you dealt with toxic masculinity :'(
I dont think telling my parents would make things better. Because I'll suffer another soul crushing conversation with one of them. That's what I believe and how I feel.
@Deepsaber25 It's the worse being brought into a world that doesn't feel right for you. That's why I am so sick of people and reality. Like no one will ever want to be by my side. And there are are rare people who see me and support me for who I am. It's a society that tells me go out, get a job, be a man, go drive, get a girlfriend, be a gentleman, blah blah. That's not growing up. That's just outdatedness. In my opinion, growing up is about self discovery, having full control of your own life and building your own home.
@Deepsaber25 And making good connections is about finding someone who make you feel like you matter, emotionally and mentally secure, and happy. 'Family' is just shallow if they can't do that for you.
My family is shallow too. They don't really know me. I can't actually talk about anything with them. I have barely been around them since I was 18. Worse off, people in my life vanished since then. I don't have any connections to anyone anymore.
@Deepsaber25 :) i know how you feel. I can lend my ears to listen to you.
