I’ve been feeling absolutely horrible lately, I stopped working on my hygiene and i understand how absolutely disgusting this is but I just have to talk about it. I’ve been distant from friends and family, getting pressured by school and family expectations, etc. i just want it to go away.

Sometimes life feels like you're falling off a cliff and it's into a bottomless pit.

And as you accelerate downward through the clouds as life's weight accumulates upon you.

And you fail to hear all those that love you, as they seem so distant.

Remember to listen. Especially to that voice inside of you that tells you to never give up. Especially to that voice that says you are worthy. And most importantly, remember you have wings, talents, strengths, and many wonderful qualities. Don't be afraid to use them! You are loved, and have much to offer the universe, so when you're ready spread your wings and soar higher. One flap at a time. Just do your best to self-care.

Inertia is a funny thing. That's where an object at rest stays at rest. Whereas an object in motion stays in motion. You cannot let life just push you around and keep you down. Get back up. Every little improvement helps.

I hope you find your wings today! 💜

If you just have to talk about it you can text me, or any other person who showed compassion to you in these comments.

Trust me there are more people that pass through difficult times and have bad thoughts, feelings, actions, habits, etc. But many don't quit because of the shame or fear of talking about it

You exposing this is an act of courage and humility and both are prerequisites to wisdom

Obviously it's better to talk about those things in person, with people you know and trust, but this app is a way to fill this gap in a way.

You said you're distant from the people you lived with the most, so expose more of this situation to someone in particular here, or in any other way

I know it's really hard. Sometimes we don't even have the energy to talk about, we just want to be on our own, or to be with a presence, no talks, just moments, but since talking is something you've expressed as a need give it a try

A good thing about talking with people here, in particular is precisely the fact that we'alre not acquainted, so there's no pressure or expectations over you, just a desire to listen and help

I can help you, if you feel comfortable in texting me

Remember that trust is the base of any relationship

Please try and give yourself some grace about slacking on hygiene. It sounds like you are going through a really rough time and if you are severely depressed it is common that hygiene begins to slip. I've been there and not had the energy or desire to shower some days (sometimes several days went by when my depression was severe which is a total contrast to daily showering and grooming that had been normal. Social isolation also happens. I hope you recognize the positive step you took by posting about this topic. You may have distanced yourself from regular interaction from usual family and friends but posting here is a social connection that helps cut through the self isolation severe depression. Work to take baby steps like even if you don't shower make sure you brush your teeth, comb hair, or just change into new clothes. That simple act can help shift your emotion at least in the moment. It's understandable you wish this would go away but know you are making progress by posting here and acknowledging what is going on as at least you have not numbed out completely. I wish you continued progress on your healing.
