How can I help someone with depression?
Somebody I love is struggling greatly and I'm not sure what to do... any attempts to get through just upset them but I'm terrified of how they're being and what they're capable of. I can't seem to help. I don't want to leave. What do I do?
@Yukitakkun aww I'm sorry sweetie it can't be nice to watch someone you care about struggle so much🙁 the best thing you can do is listen, just simply listen 💖 💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗

That’s such a heavy place to be in, and I want you to know you’re not alone in this. Loving someone who's in deep pain, and feeling helpless while watching them spiral, is one of the hardest things the heart can bear. You’re showing so much strength just by staying, by caring, by wanting to help even when it feels like you’re walking on eggshells.
It’s okay to feel scared. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Wanting to help but feeling like you're only making things worse is a brutal emotional tug-of-war. But your presence your care, even in silence can mean more than you realize. Sometimes love doesn’t look like fixing things; sometimes it’s just being the one who doesn’t walk away when everything else feels like it's falling apart.
You don’t have to carry this alone, though. If their struggle is putting them or you in real danger, it’s okay more than okay to reach out for support, whether that’s a mental health professional, a crisis line, or a trusted friend. You're not betraying them by asking for help. You’re loving them the best way you can: with courage and wisdom.
Please take care of your heart too, okay? You matter in this equation just as much. And I’m here if you ever need to talk more.
@Yukitakkun
just be there and talk to him... and listen without trying to fix it....told him thatt he is not alone...and in all that situation u also take care of yours mental health too 😊😊
Just listen and be present as much as you can. Try and come up with a safety plan. My wife has a difficult time with me and my mood changes. Stick with it. It’s hard, but communication is key. Some days I’m fine, other days I don’t want her to leave me by myself. She doesn’t have to talk, just being there helps.
