"Hi, I feel like I lost I am in a same place same stage in 8 years. I feel very hopeless about my future. I can't sleep properly, have no confidence, stuck at home with no career or independence. Family dismisses my feelings saying I'm at home comfortably so what's my problem. I feel like everyone around me gets everything - marriage, love, career - but I got nothing. I want to lose 40kg too but I can't even start because I feel so stuck. I don't know where to begin.

🥺

I'm sorry you are struggling.

Firstly, don't let your family dismiss your feelings.

Don't compare yourself to others.

One day at a time.

Small, manageable tasks to build up your confidence.

Perhaps starting with getting out and exercising.

Small, consistent habits are key.

One area in your life at a time.

Nothing ever changes if you don't change something 💕💜

Wow. I feel for you. My parents are supportive so I can only imagine having dismissive parents. For many years I have felt so numb while trying to survive in this world. The only place I feel safe is my room when I am pacing back and forth or in circles because the pain in my feet is the main way that I am able to feel something and it is then where I am able to process my feelings. I also try to use my academic success and home chores to hide my feelings. I honestly feel like a ghost imprisoned inside my mind and wall of skin. I just want to be free.

@goldenLunch57

Hello and welcome.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling.  Your feelings are important.  Please do not allow others to make you feel and think that how you are feeling is not important.  Things do not change overnight.  You can start by taking small steps.  Try to get out of the house as often as possible.  You could get some exercise by taking walks daily.  Increase your distance as you begin getting used to taking longer walks.  Get any form of exercise possible.  If you enjoy swimming, it is a great way to excercise and any form of exercise can increase your chances of losing weight.  Once you lose a little weight, you will be surprised at how much better you may feel about yourself.  You can make small changes such as getting a new hairstyle.

I agree that it is not a good idea to compare ourselves to others.  We are all special individuals.  With time and a few changes, you will have the life you are longing for.

Wishing you a blessed day/night.
