I hate myself

Hi, my parents don't know but deep inside I hate myself. I hate my hair, I hate my skin, I hate every part of me. I tried to download a app to help but my mom said no because I have this. But every time I try to find a listener I wait a week even a month and I don't hear a single thing back. My mom told me to try this again and if it doesn't work then she would schedule an appointment with a counselor.

@LilliRex

Hey there. It takes a lot of courage to open up about hating yourself and the struggles you're experiencing. You deserve support and care, and there are people here to listen and offer guidance. As someone who has experienced depression in the past, I would highly highly recommend a professional counselor/therapist who is trained to work through your difficult emotions. In the meantime, try to practice self-compassion and self-care. Be gentle with yourself and try to focus on the things you like about yourself, no matter how small they may seem. Engage in activities that bring you joy and help you feel good about yourself. Remember that you are worthy of love and care, and that there is always hope for healing and growth.

@LilliRex sorry to hear that. Hug you. You really do not need to hate yourself. You can take a baby step to try to focus on what you like. Taking your mind off things with these. Hope this can help your well.

@LilliRexI am sorry to hear that you are struggling with self-hatred and have been having difficulty finding someone to talk to about your feelings. It takes a lot of courage to open up and share your innermost thoughts and feelings, and it's important to have someone to confide in.

It's great that your mom is supportive and willing to help you get the support you need. It sounds like scheduling an appointment with a counselor might be a good next step. They can provide a safe space for you to talk about your feelings, help you develop coping skills, and support you in your journey towards self-acceptance and self-love.

If you want to start a conversation here, we can. I function a bit like a listener but only respond once a day. All you have to do is add something into this feed and answer me and I will respond within 24 hours. It is a bit of a turtle approach, but it works.

So tell me a bit more about yourself.

Counseling would still be really helpful though. Usually you need to try a number of different things to feel better.@LilliRex
