I miss my mother so much.
My mother's birthday is soon and she's been gone for almost 10 years now. Holidays are hard, and honestly her birthday is even harder for me. I just really wish I could hug her again and tell her how much I love her. They always say that you heal with time, for me it feels like I've basically learned to live without her for the past 10 years. I've never stopped thinking of her, she is on my mind every day and I've never stopped missing her. Losing her took a piece of myself away from me that I've yet to regain and I don't think I ever will.
@SharkieDearest
I’m very sorry for your loss. Your feelings are completely valid, and I’m sorry that you are in feeling sad. You are not alone, so many people are here for you! You are very strong!
Hi, Sharkie. I'm so sorry about ur mom. I feel exactly the same about my mom. She's been gone 14 years, and Christmas music makes me cry every year still. Her death was tragic and sudden, but I'm grateful to have sisters to share the pain.
Do you have any siblings you could talk to?
It also comforts me that my mom was Christian, and I choose to believe she is in an amazing place.
Tell me about ur mom. She sounds awesome.
I have 2 sisters, both younger than me, both live in different states so it's hard to see them at the moment.
My mother was a very sweet and kind hearted person, a very naturally beautiful woman. My dad had passed a few years before she did but she did so much as a single mother. She was my best friend and someone I always told my secrets to, she was there whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on. I once watched her give $5 to a homeless man and when I asked her why she told me "It's the thought that counts, but it's the action that multiplies." She was an amazing mother.
Wow. That's a relationship goal for every parent and child. Isn't it nice to have such wonderful things to remember about her? I know nothing can replace the real thing, but all the good in her is in you. I'm sure she's very proud.
Wishing you comfort and peace for all the days you aren't with her.
@SharkieDearest I lost my grandpa a few months ago and I understand your feelings. It's so hard but when you talk to people who make you happy and you feel comfortable with, then you can cope well or do something that your mom liked to do. I wish that you're doing well and I'm sorry.
