Intense treatment session

For a couple of months I've been doing a treatment resistant depression treatment called Spravato. It is a ketamine based drug delived via a nasal spray. It's been called a miracle drug. I was skeptical but it has really helped. You stay at the clinic 2 hours after taking it. You have a prove room and a recliner. I mostly enjoy the Keurig coffee maker. The immediate side effects are some sedation and disassociation ( out of body experience). Well I had my weekly treatment yesterday. And the disassociation more intense than when the dose was increased. Things got so intense I can barely stand it. This is not a normal reaction. I just got over a bipolar mixed episode which the treatments would antagonize. I think it was so intense because I really needed it. Afterwards I felt better and out of the really strange mind set I'd had for weeks. But I was manic like for a couple of hours. That hasn't happened since the first treatment. It bordered on psychosis. Which doesn't typically happen unless you already have some active psychosis. It just came out 4 years ago and unfortunately is still only in the US. I'd rather have done more electro convulsive treatments. But I'd recommend these to anyone with treatment resistant depression. Effective for OCD as well.
