I want to be depressed?
I kinda have mixed feelings about this but its like I want to be depressed. Having depression has kinda become part of my identitty in a way and I miss feeling that way (even though a part of me does feel depressed) I'm a lot better than I used to be. I miss that feeling in a way, is that wrong?

It's understandable that you may have mixed feelings about your experiences with depression.
If you find yourself missing the feelings associated with depression, it may be helpful to explore why you feel this way. Are there aspects of your life or identity that you feel are missing or have changed since you began to recover?
Hi there pluckypLucky!
Any change can be a big step, with its uncertainty and sensation of feeling lost and confused.
It's probably a transition and it's understandable you feel that way: it's like when someone receives out of a sudden a lot of care and kindness, they feel confused and even uncomfortable, if they weren't used to it.
I would guess it requires time to accept the "new you".
Be patient and also gentle with yourself, if possible :)
Best wishes! 🌺
@pluckypLucky I read that people who have been homeless a long time can be put into a home and instead of sleeping in a bed in the bedroom they put a tent in the middle of the floor as if they are still living on the streets. My guess is that we can’t always adjust quickly even if our goal is to live more comfortably. Sometimes change also means giving things up and we have to overcome our resistance to change. I hope you find what you’re looking for.
It's understandable to have mixed feelings about your experience with depression. Sometimes it can become a part of our identity. However, it's essential to remember that your worth and identity go beyond any mental health struggle. It's not inherently wrong to miss certain aspects of how you used to feel, as emotions can be complex. However, it's crucial to prioritize your overall well-being and focus on continued growth and healing.
I think that we all miss where we have been sometimes. I look back on the bad and realize how much I learned about myself and what I can give the world. Sometimes thinking in terms of those takeaways help navigate that new space. @pluckypLucky
