Just a poem

I found myself trapped in a cage

No door in sight

With solace, my only companion, darkness embraced me.

In the dark i felt a void and a voiding loneliness

Yet despite the sorrow,i felt a warmth from within,as though the darkness was holding me close and safe

For endless days,i searched for a light to pierce the gloom, but only found darkness in it's deepest bloom

In a moment of despair,a hand reached out to me, offering a glimmer of hope and a path to liberty

I emerged into a world of beauty and color,where the sun shone like a radiant jewel and the stars sparkled like diamonds in the night

After the initial wonder faded,i felt burdened by the light.

The light was blinding, keeping me trapped in the past, unable to seek the freedom i craved.

Then i wondered, what is freedom?does it truly exist or is it just an illusion we chase?
