Currently Trying to help my girlfriend through her mental health problems. In the process I got drug through the ditch. I am mentally exhausted and unstable. I feel like I'm not good enough. I'm constantly lashing out on my family and friends.

While you're supporting your girlfriend, it's important to set boundaries to protect your own mental health. Communicate openly with her about what you can and cannot handle at the moment. Explain to your family and friends what you're going through. They might not understand the full extent of your situation and letting them know can help them support you better. Having a neutral person to talk to can provide immense relief and guidance. Prioritize self-care to replenish your energy. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary. You can only offer effective support when you're in a better mental state yourself. Prioritizing your mental health doesn't mean neglecting your girlfriend; it means ensuring you're in a better position to support her in the long run.

Love,
