Hello everyone. This is my first time on this app. I'm gonna do a quick introduction:

I'm 22 years old, I live in scandinavia. I don't have any diagnosis of any kind but I am in therapy for bad mental health. I get depressive episodes, some bad and some really bad. I've just switched therapists cause my old one didn't listen to me or my feelings at all and she was so judgemental.

I feel so lonely all the time. I have wonderful friends who are so supportive and a lovely family. But I can't help but feeling lonely and sad. When my mental health gets bad I tend to push people away, I tend to not want to talk with my best friend and I prefer to be alone. And I feel lonely, but I guess I do have myself to blame for that. I just need a hug, a long comforting hug. I just want someone to tell me that everything is going to be okay because I'm so scared that I will feel like this for the rest of my life.

Hello and welcome to 7 cups! I'm sorry to hear you struggle with depression. It is common for people to push others away while they are struggling for various reasons. It's important though to maintain a support system for yourself. I don't believe it will always be like this. I struggled very very bad years ago and my life has improved greatly since then.

Welcome to the app! It's brave of you to share your feelings and experiences with us. It sounds like you're going through a challenging time, and I'm sorry to hear that your previous therapist wasn't meeting your needs. It's important to find someone who listens and understands you. Loneliness can be tough, even when surrounded by supportive friends and family. Remember, it's okay to reach out for comfort and support when you need it, even if it's just a virtual hug or a kind word. Things might feel overwhelming now, but with time and support, they can improve. You're not alone in this journey, and I'm here if you ever need to talk or vent. Take care of yourself.
