My own purpose
My Own Purpose
I used to question every step I made,
Tried to be perfect, always felt afraid.
I lost myself in trying to be enough,
Till I remembered I am made of love.
I used to chase reflections on the wall,
Ignored the voice inside that knew it all.
But every fall just brought me here,
To where my voice is loud and clear.
You are the reason I still try,
Even when I break, you never say goodbye.
You gave me room to fall apart,
But held me gently in your heart.
No need for praise, no stage, no name
Just knowing I am not the same.
I found my way, through pain and flame,
My own purpose I became.
I let people write my story in ink,
Forgot I had a mind that could think.
But you were there, when no one knew,
Whispering, “You don’t owe them you.”
Through lonely nights and endless doubt,
You were the one who pulled me out.
Not someone else, not skies above
Just me, with all my broken love.
You are the reason I still stand,
Even when the world don’t understand.
You taught me how to breathe again,
To turn my wounds into a friend.
No trophies here, no race to win,
Just peace beneath my tired skin.
You gave me more than they could see
My own purpose… finally me.
“And I don’t know if this makes sense, but… all this time, I was searching for meaning outside me. In people, applause, answers, even pain. But now I know it was never about them. It was about coming back to the one person I kept leaving behind… me. So if you’re reading, just know it’s okay to start again. Your purpose? It’s not something you find. It’s something you become.”
