Newbie searching for my Happiness
Hello.. introvert here. I just joined hoping to find some support. I recently went through a breakup and have been feeling really lonely. Most of my friends are busy with their husbands, kids, and lives.. so they don’t have much time to hang out or include me in their world. I’m starting to worry that my future might feel even lonelier.
I’m 37 and the idea of starting a family feels like it’s slipping away. I’m an only child, not real close with my family and I know I need to learn how to be alone and find joy in the little things,.. but right now I’m just really really sad. I’m also unhappy at my job which makes everything feel even harder. Honestly, I feel like I’m in the middle of an intense “sad girl era.” This week there was only one day I didn’t cry either in my car on break or at home after work.
I also have narcolepsy which makes me feel super tired on the regular, let alone when I’m experiencing depression. I work more hours than I can handle, I use all my spoons at work (for those who know the spoon theory), but I’m unable to reduce the hours because I live on my own and need to pay my bills. I come home and crash with not much energy to take care of myself, go out, exercise or partake in my hobbies.
Im not really sure what else to say.. that’s the gist of why I’m here. Thanks for reading.
@sunfloweredvibe hi I'm Lola ❤ welcome to 7 cups ❤ I'm glad you found us. It sounds to me like you could use a break, it's no good carrying on like this and making yourself worse🙁 perhaps you could book a weekend away, or just relax for a week in your own home, doing things you enjoy. Mental health breaks are so very important ❤ and 37 is not old, finding love and starting a family can happen at any age, so dont give up ok? Gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤
