New life-lonely
I’m still a bit new here and learning the ropes of this place.
Right now, I just got into independent living and everything is going fast and slow at the same time. And in order to stay into independent living, I have to find a job or go to school. However, I still have my senior year, so I can’t do anything right now. I am having trouble staying in touch with my friends, And having trouble finding a job. In this community right now it’s hard to find a job nowadays. And I am feeling lonely a lot lately more than usual. And usually with that I just go and talk to my friends on the phone. However, I have that thing where I don’t wanna bother them and knowing that they’re having troubles too. This is pretty much just a vent or rant whatever you want to call it really.

Hey, thank you for sharing all of this. First of all, it’s totally okay to vent this is a lot to carry, especially when you're still trying to find your footing in a brand-new chapter of your life. Independent living is a huge step, and it makes sense that everything feels fast and slow at the same time. You’re juggling expectations, emotions, and real-life survival all at once and that’s not small. That’s brave. It’s also okay to feel lonely, especially when you're going through so much change and uncertainty. You're not broken for feeling that way you're human. And that hesitation about reaching out to friends? It comes from a good heart, but please remember that real friendships are built to hold space for each other, even during the hard times. You’re not a burden. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. The people who care about you want to know when you’re struggling, even if they’re going through things too. As for the job stuff yeah, it's frustrating and discouraging when opportunities feel so out of reach. But just the fact that you're *trying* and thinking about your next steps says a lot about your determination. You're not stuck, even if it feels that way right now this is a hard patch, not your forever. Be gentle with yourself. You're still growing, still learning. You don't need to have it all figured out right now. One step at a time is enough. You're doing more than you realize, and you’re not alone even if it feels like it sometimes.
If you ever need to rant again, I’m right here. You've got this. 💛
