Sleepiness or Insomnia with depression.

I don't know if you guys have noticed with being depressed. Sometimes you just don't sleep or you sleep too much. I think the best thing to think about is what you're doing before you fall asleep. Sleep is a hard thing to master. Sometimes with depression. I listen to soothing music or I listen to a podcast before falling asleep. Sometimes I drink chamomile tea. I think also going to bed at a decent time can help. Also, if you're sleeping too much during the day, try not to beat yourself up over it. Especially while talking to your therapist. I guess if you're used to holding stuff in talking about things might make you very tired. My friend explained that to me when I was concerned about how much I was sleeping. It could just be a part of the healing process but also maybe if you're worried, just try to find activities to do during the day so you're not sleeping. Also with the insomnia when I wasn't able to sleep, I also tried not to get upset with myself and tried to look for solutions. Melatonin wasn't for me, but who knows. It could work for someone else. I just hope that eventually those who understand will eventually get the proper sleep that they need. Everyone's healing at a different pace. It's okay not to be able to have everything together 24/7.

@MagnusAstre what a beautiful heartfelt message for everyone 💗 thank you so much💖 everything you said is true during depressive episodes I find I sleep a lot more than I should, but that's ok. Also I fall asleep listening to soothing music, so yeah that's a great tip💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗💗 thankyou💖

What I do to help myself with sleep is with melatonin pills and listening to ASMR content. However, on average, I do usually go pretty late to sleep (past midnight) unless if i got some important stuff to do the next day.
