Spiraling

I'm 42, going through a divorce and basically just giving up on life but trying not to. I've isolated myself from everyone trying to get away from those who don't seem to support my decisions so that just leaves me alone. (Except my kids who I need to be strong for). I lost both my parents in the past 6 years and other things happened. I never healed from anything in my past or my parents passing and married in the middle of them passing (right after my mom) and then my dad passed and he was my world. The man in my life. And after he died I realized my husband is not the man of my life, my dad was and my husband was just there. I've pushed my sister away because she still hangs out with my soon to be ex husband. Just lots of stuff. Surprisingly, I'm excelling at work, so I've just thrown my all into that.

I'm glad you've come here.. it's not a good idea to isolate.. depending on the level of isolation it can lead to catastrophes.. i'm sorry your parents died, my condolences.. It sounds like they gave you alot of strength especially your dad.. i'm glad your successful at work,  that's a positive.  Keep going! Your kids need you and you need them🌲

Older people who have been through what you did will be wiser. Please reach out to older people.

I have heard adult love is like friendship not passion. Sorry you’re going through so much. Your relationship with your father sounds passionate.

I'm not sure what you mean by older people. But thank you.
