Stucked
, My name is
John, I’m 25 years old, and I am reaching out because I’ve been struggling mentally and
emotionally for a long time and would like to begin counselling support. About 2.5 years ago, I went
through a painful breakup that left me feeling deeply abandoned. Since then, I’ve been
experiencing depression, loss of focus, and isolation. I quit my job and have mostly stayed indoors
for the last two years. During that time, I also experienced hallucinations and paranoia after
accidentally smoking a small crushed portion of my father’s schizophrenia medication mixed with
weed. This incident caused a severe reaction — it felt like an “explosion” in my mind — and soon
after, I started hallucinating and feeling that I was in danger. I received 3 ECT (Electroconvulsive
Therapy) sessions afterward and have had no hallucinations since then. I haven’t taken any
medication since the ECT treatments. My father has schizophrenia, and I’m worried about whether
this condition could affect me or be passed on to my future children. I also currently smoke weed
regularly (every few hours), but I want to stop completely and heal naturally. Right now, I’m trying to
complete my Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course. I’ve already passed the exam but struggle to
focus and practice the tools because of depression and low motivation. I want to get better and
rebuild my life — both mentally and professionally — without relying on medication if possible. I’m
looking for: - Regular counselling or therapy (preferably online) - Guidance on managing
schizophrenia risk and drug-induced psychosis recovery - Support to improve focus and emotional
stability - Help building a positive daily structure Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly
want to recover and rebuild myself, and I’d appreciate your guidance and support. Warm regards

John, nice to meet you
You've fairly been through enough.
Thank you for your courage in speaking out.
It's important to take things one step at a time, to not try and change everything all at once.
It's great you've completed your course.
Small and manageable tasks like this really allow you to feel motivated and start to rebuild your confidence and heal.
I genuinely hope that you get the support and the help that you need here 💜 💕
