(Trigger warning: self harm)
I am once again posting something lol. Anyway, not really sure where to post this.
So, for a few years now I have been experiencing this weird thing where it feels like something touching me when there's nothing there.
For example, once it felt like something pushing up against my throat. Sometimes it feels like something is around my throat. Loosely. It freaked me out at first when it started since I was scared that I might do something I might regret. I thought about "recreating" the feeling, but I didn't want to risk another problem. The "feelings" occur pretty often now.
They almost don't scare me as much, which I don't know how to feel about that. I just wish I knew what it is and what's causing the "feelings". Sorry for being kind of vague. I'm trying not to be too descriptive.
@determinedNest6866 I'm sorry if this is not useful, as someone who still deals with something like that, is hard for me to support you in an objective way.
In my case, this were tactile hallucinations, and this occured when I was in a crisis state but I didn't notice. After taking my meds, it stopped, but it makes me sad that I'm still dependant on them. (But that is only my case and this doesn't have to be yours! There are a lot of options! So please don't get scared by this)
I just want you to know that you are not alone, and I can listen and support you whenever you need it, as someone who is dealing with something similar.
@jaboo I'm sorry to hear that you deal with stuff like that. Hopefully it gets better for you so you won't have to worry about medications.
Also, thanks :)

I called it my gut reaction telling me not to do something I would regret. Usually a tight feeling in my stomach or like a headband tighten up on my head. Either feeling was telling not to what was about to do was either wrong or I would get hurt. I can't recreate those sensations as they occur when I go to do something I shouldn't.
I can imagine that all feels quite frightening. Have you tried talking to anyone about it? @determinedNest6866
@bestVase7265 So far only my immediate family know about it. I've thought about trying to see someone about it along with other issues, but the thought of saying something freaks me out. I've heard about people who were forced into hospitals so I'm not sure
Telling your family is a great first step. Talking to a medical professional (therapist, doctor, or psychiatrist) is a good next one. Start with the other stuff and see how that goes first. Usually such feelings need to be really intense before something drastic happens. @determinedNest6866
@bestVase7265 I guess I'll try to figure out what to do. I'd really like to figure out what's causing this
