What’s one coping strategy that people often overlook but actually helps you a lot?
I think something really underrated is simply taking a pause before reacting. When emotions run high, even a few minutes to breathe, step away, or sit with the feeling can change how we respond. It doesn’t solve everything, but it often helps create just enough space to think more clearly.
Yea I like to step back and think clearly to process it all in my own time. For me switching off my phone is a good way to do that, so I can't be disturbed and I have that time, where I'm not pressured to answer :)
@ScrabbleBrain I agree. In the current times, we're often forced and expected to process things "fast" and move on easily. It's essential for us to pace mindfulness on our own.
@listeningyouout29 Right, I will not be rushed and I've noticed, the one time I need peace, is whenever starts needing my attention and I don't want to snap at them.
@ScrabbleBrain I can relate with that so bad. Initially I used to feel guilty while I took my space. Over time, I've started feeling comfortable with it, because people close to me give me enough reassurance and validate it.

Journaling to get your thoughts out instead of keeping them in your mind
Don’t focus on it. Focus on something else, preferably something that will bring you happiness or keep you so productive that you won’t have any time to focus on it bc you’re too busy.
@akunknown Really glad you spend time on journaling. I've tried it, but I fail to remain consistent😓

One coping strategy I’ve found helpful is allowing myself to sit with my feelings instead of avoiding them.
It’s not always comfortable, but it helps me understand myself better and heal more gently.
