Why is it so hard to be just me?

I can't seem to break free...

Sick and tired of who I've become,

Crying through the night, feeling so undone..

I feel hopeless, so worthless in my eyes,

Becoming someone I despise.

I don't want to be this way anymore,

Why is love so hard to restore?

Angels curse me, demons talk within,

I want these thoughts to end, to let life begin.

I beg to be free from this relentless fight,

To escape the endless pain that haunts me at night.

God, please lend me your guiding hand,

Help me find strength in this desert sand..
