Which is better long term?

Hey guys, have a question... Is it better to struggle physically, or emotionally? Because I don't feel supported or respected in my current environment, but... besides rent I don't have to pay for food or anything. Is it better to swallow my pride and just keep saving up money as best I can for the future? Or do I start living paycheck to paycheck so long as it means being happy and being out of a negative environment?
