Work
There is something about being at work that makes me more depressed. Weird.
@Tripleplay
what kind of work do you do, if you're comfortable sharing?
@Tripleplay
Hi there, although your post is brief. I see that this is something bothering you. Would you be open to sharing some more information so that we may tackle this together.
@Salaamah786
Hey,
it’s just that work has been slow and I can honestly do the work from my home. So driving far out to a job that I can technically do remotely and to an office where work is slow most days can get annoying.
I drive there most days to sit and do nothing. Having depression doesn’t help. It’s almost like torture. It’s also cold. And I already don’t want to get out of bed most days so I’m always very late.
I'm so sorry to hear this, depression can make everything much harder. Please feel free to send me a message :)
Ive been job hunting for years, this is unreal
@Tripleplay

@Maeeeeebae999
Hey, Mae! 😊 Of course I am not mad at you. I don’t think anyone on here would have reason to be mad at you if all people. 😂 You’re one of the sweetest people on here and I am always encouraged by your words. I am sorry if I made you feel ignored. I am not the most sociable person and have many things going on currently. I hope you have been doing okay. Did your exams go well?
@Tripleplay
Work can really be depressing sometimes. I like my work but there are days when it feels so depressing well to pinpoint the cause it's the people I work with. The boss I need to follow even though I am hating her rules.
@Jewelmoon17
I am sorry to hear that. I definitely know how that can be. Been there before. My co-workers at my current job are okay. My boss is psychotic though, but I just find it hilarious. I’m not completely mentally present to be offended by his personality, so it doesn’t really bother me. It’s the boredom that makes me depressed.
It's not weird at all. I know my job depresses the crap out of me. It's led me to be extra isolated and I'm not happy at all with it. It doesn't pay me enough to live either. I'm trying to find a new job but it's difficult to stay motivated. I'm also studying for a different job. It's tough but I need to keep moving forward.
@Tripleplay What's so weird about that? Most people don't like their jobs; it is rare to meet someone who is truly satisfied with his/her line of work. If you can, try to relegate it to necessary activity & nothing more. A job is just that: a job. It doesn't have to be a source of meaning or purpose in life, or anything more important than a way to pay your bills. Go on autopilot when you are there. When you're not, then be your true self & do what you really want.
