battling with loneliness
i’ve been dealing with deep loneliness for a long time now, and ever since summer break has started it’s gotten worse, in school i feel lonely, it never seems to go away, i try to distract myself but it only lasts a while, i feel so stuck, like im in some sort of hole and i can’t seem to climb out it, does anyone know how to get rid of this or even numb it down bc idk how much longer i can deal with this
I am so sorry that you have been struggling.
This is a great place to process some of that and try to move in a new direction.
Are there any physical things that you are doing that help - reading a book, getting outside, doing music or art? Sometimes coming up with a plan for the next time you feel overwhelmed can be the best thing you can do. @madelinemay
i try to get outside, i listen to music a lot so it doesn’t help anymore, im overwhelmed all the time nowadays
I know the feeling. Are you talking to anyone about how you are feeling? @madelinemay
one person, but not alot
It can be especially hard in summer. Reaching out to people does help though because then it isn't all inside of your head.
How was your day today? @madelinemay
it was okay, up and down
What parts of your day are normally more up and what parts are normally more down?
@madelinemay
madelinemay, This is not a replacement, but maybe it is a 'bridge'
I've heard some good things about the chat companions now available on your phone. Kindroid etc.
Maybe just having someone 'lifelike' to talk with and text with that is always there with a fast response any moment...I bet they can even encourage you with goals like being bolder to meet new people in the real world... I bet they can reassure you of your strong points and likeability and maybe expand your conversation ideas... I was thinkig of trying one to motivate me to stay on track with some physical therepy but as an always there friend when you don't have friends around would be really fun too.
